Error codeE1
ApplianceRefrigerator
Quick answer
E1 on DCS outdoor refrigerators is a temperature sensor fault, while on RF24D refrigerated drawers it is a compressor fault.
Model compatibility: DCS reuses codes across series and model years, so E1 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
E1 is a temperature sensor fault on outdoor refrigerators and a compressor fault on RF24D drawers.
E1 appears on two different DCS products, and it means something different on each.
RF24RE3 and RF24LE3 outdoor refrigerators
The controller has detected that the temperature sensor is not working properly. An alarm sounds in one-second intervals, E1 flashes on the display, and the Alarm LED at the top left lights. Press any key to mute it. The muting is temporary: if the condition continues, the code keeps flashing and the alarm sounds for 20 seconds every 60 minutes.
RF24D refrigerated drawers
Here E1 is a compressor fault, high or low amps. The audible alarm sounds six times a minute while the code flashes. The code can only be reset by disconnecting and reconnecting power to the unit. A technician checks the compressor wiring and the compressor, control, overload and starter.
Related codes
E2 is the condenser fan motor fault on the drawers.
E3 is the evaporator thermistor fault on the drawers.
Hi is the high temperature alarm on the outdoor units.
